Paying your rent

Your rent is due on the 1st  day of each month.  Tenants can choose from a variety of ways to pay this bill. Rent is a priority bill and you should ensure that your rent is paid on time each month you can use one of the methods below:

Rent is a priority bill and can be paid using one of the following methods:

Direct Debit – Request a direct debit form

Standing Order – Request a standing order form

Allpay – Request an allpay card

Debit card – pay using your card by calling 01224 625922

Online personal banking – Castlehill Housing Association using: sort code: 82-60-11 Account number: 70175463 You must use your tenancy number as the reference

Universal Credit – The Scottish Government has issued a leaflet about payment options for UC. There is also a Question & Answer leaflet for claimants.

The Local Authorities have produced this useful guide on Universal Credit and which include where to get additional help if required and places where you can access the internet for free.

Housing benefit – you may be entitled to housing benefit to either help pay your rent in part or pay it in full.  You are responsible for applying for housing benefit.

Problems paying?

We understand sometimes you may have difficulty paying your rent.

Your Housing Officer will be able to offer advice and signpost you to agencies who can help. It is important you contact them should you face a change in your circumstances.  If you do not pay your rent, action may be taken which could put you at risk of losing your home.
