Fettercairn is a small village near Laurencekirk, about 32 miles south of Aberdeen. Fettercairn has a post office, general store and a library.

There are limited public transport links from Fettercairn to other local towns, including Laurencekirk where there is a medical practice, and Montrose where there is a range of facilities and services.

Queen Elizabeth Court consists of 22 flats in a two-storey block building and 3 cottages suitable for people with disabilities. In the main building, there is a residents’ lounge and attached kitchen, a laundry, a hobbies room and two guest bedrooms, which can be booked through the Castlehill main office.

Offering housing for older people in a safe and secure property with staff onsite to provide housing management services. These schemes promote Independent Living with the capacity to signpost tenants to other services should needs change to allow you to live independently in the home for as long as possible. Our schemes have Community Alarm systems so tenants can call for help in the event of an emergency.  When staff are not at the scheme, Community Alarm provides assistance.

All properties have central heating supplied from a biomass boiler. There is a lift to both floors in the main block and a door entry system at the main entrance. A  call system and fire alarm system is available throughout the scheme.
