St Peter’s Court is situated in Torry, a popular residential area close to the city centre of Aberdeen. There are lots of local facilities in Torry, including various shops, parks, community centres and a golf course.
St Peter’s Court was completed in 1986, following conversion work on the original St Peter’s Episcopal Church. The building consists of 31 flats on 5 floors, with lift access to the ground floor and the 3 stories above. There is a large communal residents’ lounge, kitchen and laundry. The residents’ lounge, offers extensive views over Aberdeen city, the harbour and the coast beyond to the north. There is a guest bedroom where visiting relatives or friends can stay for a charge of £25 per night, booked through Castlehill’s main office.
All properties have electric ‘Total Control’ heating throughout and a door entry system at the main entrance provides security by restricting access to authorised persons only. There is a call system and fire alarm system throughout the building.
Castlehill provides a housing support service in this scheme. Staff are normally on duty each day from 9 am to 1 pm. When staff are not on duty, support for tenants is provided by RCC/Community Alarm.
