If you wish to end your tenancy you must contact your Housing Officer to discuss and get the relevant paperwork. Your tenancy can only end 28 days from the date we receive your signed termination form. Once we have received this we will write to you to confirm the exact date. If you are ending a joint tenancy, you must tell everyone who lives with you that you wish to end your share of the tenancy.
We will inspect your home to make sure it can be re-let in accordance with our tenant-approved Letting Standard. We will do this as soon as we can, once we have received your termination form. If you receive housing benefit or Universal Credit, it will stop on the day you leave the property, or the day the tenancy ends, whichever is soonest. Your Housing Officer will confirm this to you by letter.
We have over 1900 properties across North East Scotland, including general needs, amenity, sheltered, very sheltered, mid-market rent and shared ownership.
